Terms of Service
Last updated: March 20, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Dockit (dockit.io) ("the Service," "we," "our," or "us"), including our website, document generation tools, templates, and related content, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Accounts
You must create an account to access paid features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at legal@dockit.io promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Subscriptions and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance and renew automatically.
- Payment processor: All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Stripe's Privacy Policy and Terms govern payment processing.
- Price changes: We will give at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices.
- VAT / taxes: EU customers will be charged VAT at the applicable rate via Stripe Tax.
- Failed payments: After repeated failures your account may be downgraded to the free tier.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard (Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to paid features until that date. After cancellation, your data is retained for 90 days before permanent deletion.
EU / Netherlands consumers: In accordance with Dutch consumer law and the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you may cancel at any time via the cancellation button in your account settings. If you have not used the service and cancel within 14 days of purchase, you may be entitled to a full refund. By activating your subscription and using the service, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge the loss of the 14-day withdrawal right.
5. Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on new subscriptions and annual renewals. To request a refund, email legal@dockit.io within 14 days of purchase with your account email and reason. Monthly subscriptions receive no partial refund after the 14-day window. Annual subscriptions may receive pro-rata refunds at our discretion within 30 days of renewal. Approved refunds are processed via the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
6. Description of Service
